To use SQL Server, you must have Microsoft SQL Server 2000, or an equivalent Sybase SQL Server. You should have a general knowledge of SQL Server and the corresponding TRANSACT-SQL implementation. The SQL Server must be running before you start ESL's SQL Executable.

The client workstation must be configured with the necessary database and network DLLs, which must be specified in the PATH environment variable. See the SQL Server documentation for information on where to find these files.
