There are two methods for opening an existing SQL statement in DB/Assist:

Use the Open SQL Statement dialog box.

Use the Statement drop-down list on the SQL Statement Button Bar.

The Open SQL Statement dialog box and the Statement drop-down list each contain the names of the SQL statements in the current SAM The statements appear in the order in which they were created.

The statement names displayed in the Open SQL Statement dialog box and the Statement drop-down list are always the same. However, you can use the Statement display cascaded menu to filter the list of statement names to show only a particular type.

For information about how to use the Statement display cascaded menu, see Displaying SQL Statements
