When developing multiple applications, the applications can share resource include files with common strings and strings that should not be translated. The same translated resource include files can be used for each application.

If there are many shared strings, more than one application can share the same resource DLL. The -xsrc and -xsdll compiler switches are used to change the names used for the resource file and the DLL.
