You can check the DLL subroutine return codes by using the errorlevel built-in function. Errors are defined as integer constants in ESLHELP.INC and are printed to the errorlog.

Any of these subroutines can return the error

HLPERR_ HELP_NOT _ACTIVE if the ESL program has not initialized the help system by defining the help library to use.
