Q2 Why are there no tables accessible by DB/Assist?

Scroll Prev Top Next More

DB/Assist will only recognize database tables that have been created by the userid that is currently logged into DB2.  Due to this, the users of DB/Assist need to be logged into DB2 with the same userid as the creator of the database tables.  If this approach is not followed, errors will occur when you attempt to compile your DB/Assist project.  One of the following two approaches can be taken to facilitate this in your development environment.

1.Create a local version of the database with your logon ID when developing your application using the DB/Assist development tool.

2.Create a network version of the database with a group ID when developing your application using the DB/Assist development tool.
