Q6 How are fonts affected by screen resolution?

Scroll Prev Top Next More

Most bit-mapped fonts will vary in size between resolutions, with the exception of older ESL resolution-dependent fonts (medium and large). ESL supplies versions of the medium and large font for each resolution. If you are trying to keep the relative size and appearance of all your ESL objects the same across resolutions, use a font size defined in points or either the medium or large font. Note that if you define a textual region with X columns and Y lines, and you have specified a font that is not resolution-dependent for that textual region, then the size of your textual region will vary between different resolutions.
