Q9 What is the difference between "screen size" and the "-u" setting?

Scroll Prev Top Next More

The screen size language syntax and the -u runtime parameter are two independent scaling mechanisms in ESL.

Screen size determines the ESL coordinate system used at compile time for all ESL regions excluding Dialog Regions, Dialog Boxes and dialog controls.

The -u runtime parameter determines the scaling for dialog-related objects at program execution.
