Parameters can be associated with choices, pull-downs, and buttons. An item's parameter is associated with the item's definition or template. Even though more than one action bar can be created from the same action bar template, the items in each action bar actually share the parameter from the template.

Note:        The parameter of an item in a region's action bar cannot be changed independently of the other items created from the same template.

The make item parameter statement always changes the value of the parameter of an item in every region whose action bar contains the item.
