From comments made by ESL Developers and faults found during testing, we have included the following changes to EslEdit:
•The directory for each open file is displayed in the "View" pulldown, allow a Developer to select between different versions of a file that have the same filename.
•Relative directory addresses are handled.
•The loading of large files has been limited to prevent EslEdit from crashing. The multi-line edit control within ESL already has a limit, that is approximately equivalent to 2,000 lines of ESL source code. When the loading process detects the file has exceeded ESL's limitation, it offers the Developer the choice to use Notepad to open the file.
•When started from ESL's QuikStep debugging tool, the full path is displayed in the Status Line.
Esl Edit has been written in the Esl Language using only the libraries and modules that are available to all Developers. We encourage you to contact the Help Desk, to suggest possible enhancements and to obtained the latest pre-release versions of ESL Edit to trial.
Esl Edit also now includes a help facility, which can be accessed from here, if you would like further information.
