When you need to Add or Amend an item in a list the following window will be displayed:

Any single word can be entered or amended. Embedded spaces are not permitted.

Once the correct list item value has been entered, press the "OK" button to update the list and Close the window.

Pressing the "Cancel" button will discard any changes made.
