Q21 Can I use Outer join statements?

Scroll Prev Top Next More

No, DB/Assist facility does not support the concept of an Outer joint. All joins in DB/Assist are confined to the "WHERE" clause of the SQL statement and there is no "JOIN" option. However, DB/Assist does allow any SQL statement to be manually entered or altered, provided the resulting SQL statement is valid according to DB/2. As the "point and click" features are available to SQL statements that include the "JOIN" clause, it is recommended that this is done by experienced SQL developers.
